1. STRENGTH - Key 34

Gift: Strength

Shadow: Force

Siddhi: Majesty

Gift From The Wisdom Keeper:

He comes to acknowledge your Strength, and to ask you to purify your heart by liberating yourself from the war in your mind. Be careful not to mistake the people around you for your enemies. Your true enemies are your own misguided thoughts, your reactive emotions and everything in you that wrestles you away from the present moment. It's time to stop trying to Force things to go a certain way, just because your mind tells you so. Stay open to outside influence. Keep tuning into the natural world around you. Listen for the flow of life and you shall tap into ti. There is an inexhaustible reserve of inner Strength deep in your belly. It is greater than you can possibly imagine.

Questions from Juliana:

  • Do you hide from your own power?

  • Do you collapse under challenges?

  • Do you use force in order to have things go your way?

  • Consider your use of force or how you collapse under the challenge of other people. Where did you learn to do this? How has it worked out for you so far?

  • Do you trust in right timing?

Practice Suggestions from Juliana:

  • Your Strength emerges from a deep connection to your solar plexus and stomach. There are more neural networks that exist in the gut than in the brain. But we often bypass the wisdom of the solar plexus (the body) and go to the mind for our answers. Practice: Find a piece of music, preferably with no lyrics. Find a private space and close your eyes. Play your song and allow yourself to feel how your body wants to move. Drop into the subtle aspect of the body's wisdom and let the body move however it wants to for the length of the song.

  • The difference between Force and Strength is your relationship to right timing and activities.Strength is the act of moving in harmony with natural forces while allowing your natural flow to merge with the natural flow of life. Practice: Set aside time for one hour to follow your own natural flow. Follow what you want to do and allow yourself to do it. Set aside the shoulds and follow your path of desire. Notice how it feels when you give yourself to follow the breadcrumbs of right timing.

Gift: Sensitivity

Shadow: Co-Dependence

Siddhi: Sacrifice

Gift From The Wisdom Keeper:

She is here to celebrate your Sensitivity and all of the ways that you are attuned to the feelings and needs of the people in your life. Being of service is a wonderful things. That said, when you offer your support, make sure that you are coming from a good place.

Make sure you are happy with your own life, and that you are not just trying to get your own needs met by meeting the needs of others. I can guarantee you, people can smell hidden agendas. If you are isolating yourself because of hurt feelings, it's time to reach our for support. Your heart is too big and beautiful to close off for too long.

Questions from Juliana:

  • Do you do things for others with the expectation of getting something in return?

  • Do you sacrifice your own needs because the needs of others are more important than your own?

  • Do you isolate yourself from others and then resent them for not supporting you?

Practice Suggestions from Juliana:

  • We are taught to seek assurance, hope and connection outside of ourselves. The shadow of Co-dependence is rooted in the belief that there is an outside authority which knows more than you. This could be: a relationship, a god, a parent, a counsellor or a teacher. When you see another as knowing more, you give your Independence and inner authority over to something that exists outside of your experience. And no one can truly know what is best for you other than you. Notice: Begin noticing how often you question your own inner guidance. Where do you seek your answers? Do you agree without inner contemplation to what an outer authority says is true?

  • Sensitivity is the gift of being highly attuned to the needs of others. This could be people, animals, spirits, trees or the earth. It is an attunement to subtle frequencies of communication. You may hear the trees whisper to you. Or you might know what your partner is thinking before they say it out loud. Maybe you feel the energy of a space or place. Contemplate: Do you pick up on subtle energies? Which energies do you notice? Would you like to become more attuned to the needs of others?

3. DELIGHT - Key 46

Gift: Delight

Shadow: Seriousness

Siddhi: Ecstasy

Gift From The Wisdom Keeper:

Delight is here to share an ultimate truth: Nothing really matters but Life and Love. It's time for you to enjoy life's small pleasures and to relax in your own body, mo matter how it looks. You can surf life like an exciting wave, whether or not you understand what's happening. But to do this, you must first be willing to let go of the past, release all agendas and keep your mind as open as your heart. Remember, the less seriously you take things the easier it becomes to get out of your own way and allow life's Delightful surprises to take you exactly where you need to go, at exactly the right time. The magnificent and magical universe is at work in you, all of the time.

Questions from Juliana:

  • Where do you take life too seriously?

  • Do you worry about your looks? How does this worry impact your ability to Delight in life?

  • How often do you focus on your past or future?

Practice Suggestions from Juliana:

  • Seriousness is worrying about life or expecting it to be different than how it is. It takes you away from the present moment and propels you into the past or the future which perpetuates anxiety and worry. Practice: Set a timer to practice Delight. When the timer chimes, pause for a moment and Delight in what is around you. Perhaps you notice the birds or the trees or your jewelry or the conversation you're having. Simply practice right then and there appreciating your life just as it is.

  • When a child learns through their physical experience that life is a safe and loving, their body relaxes into its natural internal harmony. You experience happiness when you feel it deep within your body. Seriousness manifests when you lack of connection to the moment by moment experience of your body living your life. Practice: Spend some time with your body. Find a comfortable space where you can fully relax your body. Close your eyes and begin to notice the different sensations in your body. Approach these sensations with curiosity and wonder. Set a timer and try it for 5-15 minutes. Allow yourself to sink into the present moment by moment experience of your body.
