Your Emotions & the Seasons
In the video below, I share with you something very dear to my heart - we are a part of the Earth & that we (our bodies, beliefs & emotions) are microcosms of the whole macrocosm, Mother Earth, in which we inhabit.
I take you through the seasons of a Big Leaf Maple & how Autumn, Winter, Spring & Summer not only relate to the plants, animals, water & soil but also to our own emotions & struggles.
And at the end of the video, I offer you this thought & practice:
At some point in our lives we are going to be physically alone without a loved one or we are going to feel emotionally alone perhaps where we feel misunderstood and disconnected. How can you find connection, meaning and understanding when a person isn't there or doesn't get you?
I encourage you to begin looking in the natural world for a representation of the struggle or celebration or emotion you are experiencing. See if you can find it mirrored back to you in the trees, birds, rocks, herbs, animals, water, clouds & sky. Perhaps you can find just a moment where you feel seen or you relate to what you witness in Nature.
